I am very excited to be a part of the GA family again this year. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan Flint, certified k-8 with an endorsement in Language Arts. I have a master’s degree of Science in Literacy and Technology. I look forward to my second year of teaching first grade. I live in Goodrich with my husband and dog. I have two children. My son, Nathan, is grown and lives in the D.C. area. My daughter, Carley, just graduated from Western Michigan University. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to football games, and traveling.

This is my second year with Genesee Academy’s staff and students. I am truly excited to return as one of the 5thgrade teachers this year. I am excited to say I attended the University of Michigan- Flint to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. After completing my Bachelors, I obtained a Masters in the Art of teaching and received a ZA endorsement in Early Education. I feel confident that this background will be valuable in leading your child to meet their goal as they journey to complete the 5thgrade. I am a mother of 2 boys and love to spend time relaxing and sharing new experiences with them. I also enjoy traveling, camping, and exploring the great State of Michigan. Last of all, I love to read, swim, and watch musicals and theatre.

I’ve been in education for 25 years and I continue to pursue more educational training well beyond my master’s degree. My personal goal is to be the best at what I love to do. I have two amazing children and a granddaughter that is the light of my life. Jacob is 25, married to Jaylynn, and they have a two-year-old daughter named Isabella. He is currently serving in the Air Force. My daughter, Harmony, is 35 and she and her husband, Chris, are also serving in the Air Force. I have two cats named Polo and Mort. I love taking long walks, reading, and yoga. I look forward to the years to come here at Genesee Academy.

After graduating in 2013, Aaron and his wife, Caitlin, moved to Michigan for new opportunities. Before coming to Genesee, Aaron worked at Williamston Middle School in Special education. He is teaching Elementary, Middle, and High School Physical Education, as well as Middle School Technology, and High School Health. Aaron is excited and motivated for his fourth year at Genesee Academy.
