Kholoud Abu-Makhlouf graduated from a College in Jordan where she studied pharmacy for two years. She has worked as an assistant pharmacist in Jordan for two years and in Kuwait for one year. Mrs. Makhlouf took courses to learn proper Quran recitation with Tajweed. For 6 years she was an Arabic and Quran teacher in Dar Al-Arkam Weekend School at the Flint Islamic Center. Mrs. Makhlouf joined Genesee Academy as Quran teacher twelve years ago. She has an Ejaza-Certification in recitation of the holy Quran. She is married with five amazing children and her favorite sport is swimming.

Mrs. Amina Almadanie Abdelrazzak has been an Arabic and Quran Teacher for over 17 years and has been part of the Genesee Academy family since 2006. She briefly studied at the Aleppo University School of Business in Aleppo, Syria; she also attended the Um Darman University School of Islamic studies in Damascus Syria; and she is currently completing her degree in Early Childhood Development at Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan. Her experience and passion for teaching Arabic as a second language, and her professional training in educating young minds give her the tools she needs to educate. She uses these tools to build the foundations on which our children's Islamic knowledge is built: the Arabic Language.

Nadia Hattab Graduated from Amman, Jordan with an associate degree in mathematics and associate degree in educational qualifications. In addition, she completed two years of teacher training and professional development on the effective and productive teaching methods. Mrs. Hattab worked in Amman, Jordan for three years as a teacher for fourth to eight grades. She joined Genesee Academy in 1999 as Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies teacher. Since 1999 Mrs. Hattab has completed workshops and courses from the Islamic American University, Genesee Intermediate School district, Aldeen Foundation, and online Arabic Training courses. In November 2012, Mrs. Hattab completed Language IB workshops organized by IB Online Professional Development. Her objective is to create an excellent learning environment at GA and to help each student improve their Arabic language. Mrs. Hattab uses her knowledge and experience to merge Arabic language with Islamic studies. She is always active and attends continuous development seminars and courses focused on Arabic Education.

She was among the first teachers of Genesee Academy when it opened its doors in 1995. She has attended many seminars on teaching methods in her more than 25 years as an instructor. In 1996, Mrs. Haydar completed the “Intensive Training in Quality Schools.” She previously worked at Manaraat Al-Riyadh, in Riyadh, KSA and Dar Jana International School in Jeddah, KSA – teaching Islamic Studies, Math, Geography, Science and History to students from around the world. She loves to read, travel, and cook.

I graduated from King Abdul-Aziz University of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting. After graduation, I worked as an accountant at a school in Jeddah. I have obtained an Ijazah in Al-Qaida Nurania. For the past ten years, I have been actively been working with young children at the Quran Institution of Jeddah. This is my 8th year teaching Arabic,Quran and Islamic Studies for lower elementary and it has been a pleasure for me working at Genesee Academy.
