Congratulations to all our 5th and 7th grade winners of the 2021 Flint Regional Science & Engineering Fair (FRSEF) for Junior and Elementary levels. I attached the link to the award ceremony that took place this evening and the list of Genesee Academy winners.
Also, a special congratulations to our 5th grade teacher Mrs. April Keefover for winning "The Teacher of Year" by the Flint Regional Science & Engineering Fair. We congratulate Genesee Academy staff and community for these double achievements. Like every year, GA will be having Open House for the new prospective parents who are interested in having their kids attending Genesee Academy next year. The dates of the open house are:
-Friday April 23 -Friday May 21 -Friday June 18 The open house will be from 10:00 am-1:00 pm and by appointment due to covid-19. During the open house, the prospective parents will tour the school and meet with the principal. Also, the application fee will be waived on that day. Please, spread the word. -Ramadan Office Hours: This is a reminder that with Ramadan schedule, the school office hours are 9:00 am-4:00 pm Monday through Friday. There will be no one to answer the phone outside these office hours.

The list of winners are attached. -State Testing (SAT/PSAT10/PSAT8&9/M-Step): Insha Allah, the new schedule of the state testing will start according to the following: SAT (11th grade)/PSAT10 (10th grade)/PSAT9&8 (9th & 8th grades): Tuesday April 27 at Genesee Academy Workkeys (11th grade): Wednesday April 28 at Genesee Academy M-Step (3rd-8th & 11th): Staring Monday April 19 till May at Genesee Academy -Quran Competition: The 11th & 12th grades (Boys & Girls) will be tested on the week of April 19, and the 3rd - 8th grades will be tested after Eid on the week of May 17. -Eid Break: Insha Allah, the Eid will be on Thursday May 13; Therefore, there will be NO school on that day -No School: There will be NO school for staff and students on Friday May 28 and Monday May 31. -Middle and High School Final Exams: Insha Allah, the middle and high school final exams will be from Thursday June 3 through Tuesday June 8. -Last Day of School: Insha Allah, The last day of school will be Wednesday June 9. On that day, the students will have a half day school, i.e. the dismissal is at 12:00 pm. -High School Graduation: Insha Allah, The high school graduation will be outdoor on Friday June 4. -8th Grade Graduation: Insha Allah, the 8th grade graduation will be a drive-through event like last year on Thursday June 10. -Mask/Water Bottle: This is a reminder to the parents to send a water bottle with your child since the school water fountains are closed down. Inshallah, the Genesee Academy Science Fair Award Ceremony will be held during the middle school character education session on Wednesday, April 14 at 9:30 am. Parents are welcome to attend.
Fifth-grade should join the middle school session as well.
