Alhamdulillah, we just received our re-accreditation approval and certificate for Genesee Academy from Cognia organization.
Accreditation process is a rigorous process that the school goes through to make sure that the school meets the high standards of education and students’ wellbeing. Genesee Academy goes through this process every 5 years during which a committee of professional educators meet and interview board members, administrator, staff, parents, and students for two days. Also, during this process, the committee goes through the provided documents such as surveys (from parents, staff, and students), handbooks, activities and events evidences, self-assessments, action plan, and other related materials. The committee wants to make sure that the school adheres to its mission and the Cognia standards (link: cognia.org). At the end of accreditation process, the committee points out three commendations (successes) and three recommendations (needed improvements) to work on for the next five years. We thank Allah first, and then the dedicated staff/board, hard working students, and overwhelming parents' support for this achievement. Jazakum Allah Khairan and have a blessed Friday!
