-End of 3rd Quarter: Insha Allah, the end of the 3rd quarter will be Friday March 26. The school office will be closed at 2:00 pm on that day.
-Travelling Policy: If you are travelling out of state/country with your kids, your kids have to quarantine for 7 days after they come back in town during which they can attend school online, i.e. they can not attend school in person during these 7 days. Also, the parents should fill out the extended leave form for their kids a week before the travelling and turn it in to the office. Please, contact the office for the extended leave form. -Ramadan Schedule: Insha Allah, the Ramadan schedule will start on Monday April 12, i.e. the school will start late at 9:30 am (Monday-Friday) for students; however, the dismissal time will stay the same, i.e. at 3:40 pm for Monday-Thursday and at 1:52 pm on Friday..
-State Testing (SAT/PSAT10/PSAT8&9/M-Step): Insha Allah, the 2nd week after the spring break, the state testing will start according to the following schedule:
SAT (11th grade)/PSAT10 (10th)/PSAT9&8 (9th & 8th): Tuesday April 13 at Genesee Academy
Workkeys (11th grade): Wednesday April 14 at Genesee Academy
M-Step (3rd-8th & 11th): Staring Monday April 12 till May at Genesee Academy
-Quran Competition: Due to covid situation, the Quran competition will be conducted in a simplified way. The students will be tested/judged by their Quran teachers in their classroom; the students will be graded for their performance, and the winners will be rewarded with gift cards. For now, the high school will be tested on the first week of April after the spring break (i.e. the week of April 5), and the 3rd - 8th grades will be tested after Eid on the week of May 17. There will be no testing for KG-2nd grades; instead, the Quran teacher will conduct a general assessment of the students' performance.
-Mask/Water Bottle: This is a reminder to the parents to send a water bottle with your child since the school water fountains are closed down. Also, make sure to send a mask with your child that fits his/her face.
