weekly update

As you are aware that the covid cases (with the fast spread of omicron) are skyrocketing during the break, especially in Michigan. I would like to remind you of this important protocol and of working together to keep our children and school environment safe for everyone, especially that many of us have travelled during the break:

1. If your child is sick, please, keep him/her at home and contact the school office. Please, do not think it is just cold and send him/her to school.
2. If one of your household members is sick, please keep your child at home and contact the school office.
3. If you and your family have travelled during the break, we recommend that you and your family take a covid test 3-5 days after you came back to town.
4. If your child is not vaccinated and he/she is eligible for vaccination, please get him/her vaccinated asap.
5. Remind your child of the importance of wearing a mask properly at school.
6. If your child is absent for any other reason, please contact the school office asap and let us know. 

I appreciate your cooperation in this important matter since we have a responsibility in front of Allah to keep our school environment safe for everyone, especially in the next few weeks. Jazakum Allah Khairan for your patience and Dua.

-School Resumes Monday: The school will resume tomorrow Monday January 3.

-No School: There will be NO school on Monday January 17.

-MS/HS Mid-Term Exams: The middle school mid-term exams will be from Tuesday January 18-Friday January 21, and the high school mid-term exams will be from Wednesday January 19-Friday January 21.

-End of 2nd Quarter: Friday January 21 is the end of the 2nd quarter, and the students will have a half day school, i.e. the students' dismissal is at 12:00 pm.

-PD Day (No school): There will be a Professional Development Day on Monday January 24. Therefore, there will be no school for students on that day, i.e. Monday January 24.
