-GA Spelling Bee Award Ceremony: The Spelling Bee Competition Award Ceremony is going to be virtual on Friday March 4th at 8:45 am. A link to the Award Ceremony will be emailed to the parents soon to celebrate the winners. Also, the 1st and 2nd place winners from 4th-8th grades will be participating in the GISD Spelling Bee Competition. The 3rd place winners from 4th-8th grades will be an alternate participant in case 1st or 2nd place winner is not able to participate. The GISD Spelling Bee Competition is going to be on the week of April 25.
-GA Science Fair Competition: Genesee Academy Science Fair will be for 5th and 7th grades only from Tuesday March 8 – Thursday March 10. More details will be emailed soon.
-End of 3rd Quarter (Record Day): The end of the 3rd quarter will be Friday March 25. On that day, the students’ dismissal will be at 12:00 pm.
-Spring Break: The spring break will be from Monday March 28- Friday April 1. The school will resume on Monday April 4th.
-Ramadan Schedule: Insha Allah, Ramadan schedule will start after spring break, i.e. on Monday April 4th. This means that the school will start at 9:30 am (including Fridays) while the daily dismissal will stay the same, i.e. at 3:40 pm (Fridays-will be after prayer at 2:40 pm).
-SAT/PSAT Testing:
-SAT& Workkeys (11th grade) tests will be at Genesee Academy on Wednesday April 13 and Thursday April 14.
-PSAT8/9 (8th & 9th grades) & PSAT10 (10th grade) will be on Wednesday April 13.
M-Step State Testing (3rd -8th): M-Step testing will start on the week of April 11th.
-No School: There will be NO school for staff and students on Friday April 15.
